If you love ice cream like I do…
Then this blog post is for you. Ice cream is so easy to make (even if you don’t own an ice cream maker) that I will never understand why people buy it at the grocery store. So many flavors and combinations of foods you can make, the possibilities of ice cream flavors are endless! If you need an example head over to my Pumpkin Papaya Ice Cream post (CLICK HERE).
This too takes no time at all and I feel its a mix between ice cream AND yogurt. It’s a perfect summer treat!
- 2 cups frozen blueberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
- Vanilla Greek Yogurt
Cook the blueberries and sugar until sugar is completely melted. Blend mixture in your blender (I only blended for a few seconds I wanted nice chunks of blueberries in my yogurt). Mix in remaining ingredients. If you have an ice cream maker just follow the instructions per your particular brand. If you do not have an ice cream maker then stick your yogurt mixture in the freezer over night.
It produces a beautiful color and tastes AMAZING!
I am always practicing plating my food (I don’t know why but I have a feeling it will come in handy in the future). I decided to take some of my ice cream mixture before I freezed it and but into a silicone candy mold.
The final product is beautiful individual ice cream treats.
