In America we celebrate Labor Day on Monday September 5th and it’s right around the corner!
So today was a perfect excuse for me to get a head start on making some Labor Day sweet treats for a party.
White Chocolate Cherry Bark with chocolate dipped & bedazzled Rainer Cherries.
Making bark is simple. All you need is good quality chocolate. Some people microwave their chocolate I prefer to temper (by stirring it in a glass bowl set over a pot of simmering water) my chocolate over the stove until its melted.
Place your melted chocolate on some parchment paper and spread with your spatula. I took some freeze-dried blueberries, cranberries and strawberries and sprinkled it among the chocolate.
I love cherries and bought a bag of Rainer cherries. These particular cherries are slightly sweeter than your regular dark red cherries you find at your local grocery store.
I took a bowl of blue candy melts and dipped my cherries in them followed by sprinkling them in red sanding sugar.
That’s basically it! Bark is an easy treat and great to bring to parties and events.
