Last year a new bar & restaurant opened up in the trendy Heights area of Houston called THE EDISON.
Named one of the top 10 new anticipated restaurants to open in Houston last year, the concept takes it name for the street its located on (4203 Edison) however the clever restaurant decided to play up on its name by painting a Thomas Edison bulb mural on its outside walls. I took a few photos with my son.
Chef Michael Sanguinetti (who was born in New Orleans) is in charge of the menu, which features plenty of classed-up pub fare and comfort food — think chicken fried quail, pizza, and pancakes served with duck confit — alongside plenty of cocktails, beer, and wine.
The bar’s signature cocktail, The Edison, is a seemingly bright and spicy mix of rum, fresh ginger, tamarind, and lime juice. You’ll also find classic libations like a negroni, margarita, and old fashioned on offer. They also offer a happy hour DAILY from 4-7pm and a reverse happy hour from 11pm to close.
A really cool neighborhood bar & restaurant to check out if you are in the area!
